Did you watch Extreme Couponing?

I'm actually typing this before the show airs, but I wanted to pass along a link to Cuckoo For Coupon Deals where the extreme dislike of Extreme Couponing has begun!  If history repeats itself, there will be plenty of bad-mouthing across the coupon-osphere tomorrow, er today.  But, before you jump onto the blog bash-train, keep this in mind.....We've all gone to the store only to find empty shelves, and it stinks.  But, you have to admit that "the early bird gets the worm" and most things in life are "first come, first served".  It helps no one when couponers view other couponers are competition.  It's also true that "everything I need to know I learned in Kindergarten"...."share and share alike"......"treat others as you want to be treated"....."couponers CAN make a difference, one donation at a time!"

Southern Savers: Sunday Coupon Inserts

Southern Savers is really one of my favorite coupon blogs.  We may not live in the extreme south, but I consider myself a Southerner, don't you?

Be sure to check out Jenny's post Real Extreme Couponing: Sunday Coupon Inserts.

My Litter: How to Extreme Coupon the right way

I think it's sort of strange when a past Extreme Couponer advises other couponers not to watch TLC's Extreme Couponing....But, that's just one of the recommendations by My Litter in the post Extreme Couponing, How to do it the right way!

I remember their episode and I can't say that I thought it was more or less realistic than any of the other shows.  In her post, she says the savings was not accomplished from double coupons, but she doesn't say it was accomplished by coupons alone.  And I don't consider a "save on your next order" catalina a coupon.  I wish the couponers featured on the show would make their sales receipt public.  Put your receipt where your mouth is, so to speak.

What to buy, and when

Thanks to My Music City Mommy for a month by month list of items to buy during sales cycles.  Some of the best coupons and store sales happened around tax refund time this year, and 2012 is right around the corner!  This one would be worth printing and putting in your coupon binder!

Cuckoo: Special Ordering

Cuckoo for Coupon Deals has a good list of suggestions for placing a special order.

I've tried to make a special order at Market Place and they were unable to get the product.  Have you made a specail order?  How did it go?  Any problems?

{LOL}Save Big with Jenny's Number

I saw this topic on yahoo! this morning and had to take a look.  You'll have that song stuck in your head all day!  8675309....I'd never be able to keep a strait face and give out this fake phone number, but I thought it was funny.  Would you be able to do it?

Cuckoo: Coupon Fairies

Cuckoo for Coupon Deals has been on fire today with Hot Coupon Topics.  Have you been helped by a Coupon Fairy while shopping?  I was shopping for cereal about a week ago and just happened to spot a coupon someone had left on the shelf that saved me a buck!  And the cereal had a special code to receive a free book from Scholastic!  So, that coupon actually helped me save a total of $6!  As for the coupon swap baskets, I haven't noticed them at our Walmart.  For a time there were little baskets along the shelves where you could pick up or drop off coupons.  But, I never found anything useful.  And I kind of thought they looked tacky.  I did witness a Kroger employee throwing away coupons that had been left on the shelves.  I know, I was horrified, too.  So, if you're a coupon fairy, keep up the good work!
