Coupon for Change (2/29-3/6)

Coupon for Change is a new weekly post to go along with the Coupon Matchups.  It's simply a list of $1 and under items that would make great donation items. 

Spend $1 each week as you shop and add the item(s) to your donation box.  When your box is full, drop it off at your favorite food bank!  You'll barely notice spending that extra dollar at the checkout. 

But, you will notice what a wonderful thing you're doing when your dontation box begins to overflow!  Just remember, check the expiration dates as you shop.  You'll want to get items that won't expire for a while, I look for an expiration date around May 2013.

Dollar General: $5 off $20 Purchase, Select Departments; 3/4-3/5

This coupon is a little more limited than the $5 off coupons we've been seeing at Dollar General.  But, you only need to spend $20 to take advantage of this $5 savings!  Of course, you do need to do your shopping in the Home Decor, Housewares, Kitchen, Bed Pillows, Sheets & Rugs departments!  I don't know of any manufacturer's coupons to combine with this offer, but saving $5 is great if you need any of these items.  In fact, I am in the market for more kitchen storage bowls.  Wouldn't this coupon be great for shower shopping or newlyweds?  Need the coupon?  Print it from the Dollar General website!  Coupon good for shopping on March 3rd and 4th!

Culinary Crafts: Take a Flying Leap

Coupon Snob Recommends Comfort Baby Products

I tend to overlook baby deals since my kiddos were just finishing up the "pull-ups" phase last year as I began couponing.  It kind of feels like I've lost my baby shopping abilities now that I no longer have to stroll the diaper and formula ilses!  And oh how I wish I had been couponing for the past six years!  The money I could have saved on diapers alone!  Any hoo, if you have bambinos, you may want to check out a recent post from The Coupon Snob where she reviews the Comforts baby products from Kroger.  I never used them, but I like how she recommends them based on performance and price!  (I did try store-brand pullups a few times and never thought they were as good as the real thing).  And, I like even more that Kroger offers eCoupons for the Comforts Brand!
