Kmart: Double Coupons ALL Week

If you haven't heard, it's another week of Kmart Doubles!  Same rules apply so be ready to shop for $25 in merchandise from Grocery, Beauty, and Health.  I was all set to pick up super cheap All detergent yesterday only to find an empty shelf!  Good job couponers, good job!  No worries, ask and you shall receive, a rain check, that is.  If you arrive at the store only to find an empty shelf, be sure to head over to customer service for that rain check.  And, remember, the double coupon rule limits you to four like products.  You can visit Cuckoo for Coupon Deals for a great coupon matchup to help you prepare your shopping list!

Friday Reminders: Dollar General, Kmart

I am so glad today is Friday!  Don't forget to print your $5 coupon from the Dollar General website today (if you haven't already) because tomorrow is the day to use it and that means it won't be available to print!  And tomorrow is your last day this week to take advantage of Kmart Doubles!  Have a great weekend!

Friday Reminders: Dollar General, Kmart, Market Place, Kroger

Good morning everybody!  Sorry the blog has been quite the past couple days!  Every once in a while, life gets busy!  I am back today with exciting news!  Well, I think it's exciting news!  The Hopkins County Couponer has a new web address!  Yep, it's official, this is officially a website now!  Who-hoo!  Our new URL is:  http://www.hopkinscountycouponer.com/   Yeah!  What's the differenece?  You won't need to type .blogspot anymore!  I know it's only nine keystrokes shorter, but hey, that's nine whole key strokes!  And, the blog got a mini-makeover this week, too!  Be sure to head over and checkout the new color scheme and let me know what you think!  I kept the orange (I tried pink) I just couldn't do away with the orange!  I read that tangerine is very "in" this year!  I changed the lovely teal to a fun blue, and added in a little gray.  Did you know that gray is my favorite color?

Don't forget that tomorrow is the day to save $5 on your $25 purchase at Dollar General.  If you don't make it into the store today to get the coupon on the bottom of your receipt, you can print it (up to two copies per computer) from the Dollar General website.  When I shop this sale at Dollar General I always keep a scratch piece of paper with me to keep a basket total.  I try to get as close to $25 (before coupons) without going too far over.  It's also a really good shopping technique!  Having that dollar goal really helps me decide if I need that item or not!  Dollar General has great pricing, lots of things are even dollar amounts which makes totalling up super easy!

Tomorrow is also the day to enjoy Kmart Doubles!  I love Kmart Doubles!

And don't forget that Market Place is having a "Gimme $5" event through next Tuesday!  There are lots of participating items this time around and many of them have available coupons!  I didn't see any Carving Board meat, so that was disappointing.  Plus, for whatever reason, my $5 didn't automatically deduct on Wednesday, so be sure you're keeping an eye on the register.  I didn't notice until I got home, I was very disappointed with myself!  Now I have to go back to the store to get it fixed!

And Kroger is having the Get a Quarterback Mega Event through tomorrow!  (I think it may be going on next week, too, but we'll have to wait for the Sunday ad to be sure!)  Visit I Heart Kroger for the full list of participating items.  Sometimes there are items on her list that are not marked at our local Kroger store.  Sales vary by region and I'm guessing I Heart Kroger is in a different region than ours.  One big difference I found is the price of the Old El Paso items.  She has them listed as $1.25, but I found them on the shelf for $1.50 (or 2/$5).  If I had been lucky enough to have that 50-cent coupon, I'd have happily purchased these, but since I was sans-coupon, I skipped that deal.  But, I did get cookies, brownies, rice, peanut butter, and soda!  Another price difference I found was for the Starkist Tuna pouches.  They were $1.50 at our Kroger instead of $1.25.  But, luckily I did have the 50-cent coupon and grabbed a couple for my donation bin.  Oh, befor I forget, Coupon Snob had a good post about Krogering that I wanted to pass along.  Her Kroger shopping reminds me a lot of my Kroger shopping; I only shop there for the really good deals because all of the other grocery stores are closer to my house.

I'm still patiently waiting for Sunday Coupon Preview to release the upcoming coupons for Sunday (2/12).  If you want to know right away, you can check out the preview list on Southern Savers.  I find that the Southern Savers list slightly differs from the Sunday Coupon Preview list and then sometimes I find a coupon in the insert that wasn't on any preview list!  I like happy surprises, don't you?

Have a great weeknd!

Saturday = Kmart Doubles

It's Saturday and you know what that means!

It's Kmart Doubles Day!

Here's a little cheat sheet for you:
  • Be sure to present your Shop Your Way Rewards card
  • Coupons with a face value of $1 or less will Double
  • When you purchase $25 in Grocery and Drugstore merchandise (before coupons)
  • Limit of 5 coupons will double
  • No more than 4 coupons for the same product will double
Things to remember when planning your shopping trip:
  • $1 coupons make the best Double Coupons!
  • Need a Basket Filler to push your total to $25?  Consider the Smart Sense water priced 2 for $7.  That's $3.50 for a 35-pack of bottled water!  That's much more economical than the Pepsi this week.
  • Keep your basket total as close to $25 as possible.

Kmart: Purchase Ground Beef, Get Free Pasta and Sauce

It's days like this that make me really miss getting the Kmart ad in my mail box on Fridays!  I really dislike the new version of the online ad.

But, I do like this Pasta Meal Deal.  Buy a package of ground beef for $2.99 and get the pasta and spaghetti sauce FREE!  Limit one per transaction.

This is going on my shopping list!

Saturday (1/21) ToDo List: Dollar General & Kmart

Don't forget today is the day to save $5 off your purchase of $25 at Dollar General.  Remember, the $25 is BEFORE your manufacturer's coupons, so you can increase your savings by using manufacturer's coupons!  Deal ideas: Dollar items without a coupon, even better with a coupon; Health & Beauty items, smaller packages often mean smaller price tags, but still meet the requirements for manufacturer's coupons!

Today's a great day to take advantage of the Double Coupons at Kmart.  Purchase $25 in grocery/pharmacy products and get 5 coupons doubled at the register ($1 or less)!  Plus, Kmart often offers a "free" item for purchasing $25 so keep an eye on the sale ads.  If they don't have the "free" item, ask if they are substituting something for it.  Deal idea: Soda has been priced 3 for $9 the past two weeks and is a great item to bump up your total toward the $25 mark.

Printable: Brawny Paper Towels

Head over to the Brawny Facebook page for a great "$1.00 off any one package of Brawny Paper Towels" coupon.  The single rolls are 10 for $10 at Kroger this week; get one free with this coupon.  I guess you can't get better than free....but if you buy the 8-roll package this Saturday during the save $5 on your $25 purchase at Dollar General, you'll get each roll for around 58-cents.  Or, you can wait for a sale at Kmart and take advantage of a double coupon day!  My coupons printed with a March 31st expiration date!  Plenty of time to wait for a good sale!

Printables: Fantastik & Pledge/Armstrong Floor Cleaner

If you've visited Coupons.com this morning, you may have noticed the Fantastik and Pledge/Armstrong coupons.  To make life more complicated, there is also a combo coupon available.....
I skipped that coupon to the left for "Buy Any SC Johnson".
Instead, I printed the "Save $2.00 SC Johnson" and the "Save $1.00 Fantastik" coupons.  In the end, the dollar value is exactly the same.  But, that third coupon could "attach" to both products preventing the register from accepting the $1 Fantastik coupon.  Plus, Fantastik is available at Kmart (according to the website), and I love Kmart Doubles!

Did You Do Kmart Doubles Yesterday?

Just curious if anyone did any Double Couponing at Kmart yesterday?  Mark your calendars for the next several weeks so you don't miss the Double Coupon days, every Wednesday and Saturday!

I had a few difficult couponing trips at Kmart last year in the beginning of my coupon journey.  But, I am happy to say that the employees at the Madisonville Kmart have been super-duper nice and helpful for the past two weeks when I've been Double Couponing!  If anyone from Kmart is reading this, please pass on a big ol' THANKYOU to the wonderful folks who assisted me yesterday!  And ask the store to please stock eggs!  ;-}

If you're shopping at Kmart, be sure to grab the Storewide Savings Guide from the little shelf by the service desk.  Those sale prices are good through February 6th.  And there are a few good "free" item coupons on the front cover!

Head over to Cuckoo for Coupon Deals for the low-down on Double Couponing at Kmart.  Kmart will double $1 and under coupons every Wednesday and Saturday through the end of April 2012 (at participating locations).  Both Madisonville and Hopkinsville have participated in past doubling events.  Proceed with caution, though, 100-120 Kmart/Sears locations are scheduled to be closed according to a recent article on Yahoo.  Might want to take advantage of the double couponing while you can!

Kmart to Double Coupons on Wednesday & Saturday

A big THANKYOU to Cuckoo for Coupon Deals for the heads up on this Double Coupon info from Kmart!

I printed the coupon but it did not print a scanable barcode.  I believe the coupons will double without any special coupon as long as you have your Shop Your Way Rewards card and a basket total of $25 from Grocery/Drugstore before tax.  Good luck!

Here's another great deal idea from Cuckoo for Angel Soft Tissue!
