Save on July & August issue of Essence

Zip: 46060

Google says the cover price for Essence is $3.99.  Use the coupon at Walmart to save an additional % off the cover price!  And you just might luck out and get coupons inside!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!

4 Gerber Printables!

There have been a couple Gerber coupons on http://www.coupons.com/ since the first of July, but I just stumbled upon a zip code with four Gerber coupons!  Zip: 46060  If you have a friend who coupons but does not have a toddler, you might ask them to print these for you!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!

Noobs are Not At Fault!

I'm always disappointed when I see the "noobs" being blamed for the changes in coupon policy.  Just because you started couponing after you watched Extreme Couponing, doesn't single handedly make you responsible for the coupon revolution taking place!  I would say TLC's spot light program IS to blame for coupon policy changes, at a retail level.  But, it's not the "noobs" trying to save a buck who have forced the changes to happen.  Retailers are changing policies to ensure that, at the end of the day, they are going to be reimbursed for the coupons they accept.  Remember, if you redeem your coupons in accordance with your stores coupon acceptance policy, you have committed no wrong!

Mrs. Grissom's Coupon Updated

After printing the Mrs. Grissom's coupon on Wednesday and seeing that there was no expiration date, I decided to email the company and ask for a physical copy.  To my surprise, Mrs. Grissom updated the online coupon so that it now has an expiration date!

Misty,
Thank you for alerting us to the problem.

Please click on the link to go to the website and print your coupon now.

There is an expiration date on it which should satisfy the retailer.
Mike
It doesn't print much better, and the expiration date is December 31, 2011, but it should improve the odds of a retailer accepting it!

Clorox Sales Company doesn't allow coupon sharing!

I googled the Clorox Sales Company Coupon Redemption Policy and was taken by surprise!

3. Coupons are non-assignable and are void if transferred from their original recipient to any other person, firm or group. The Clorox Sales Company does not permit the unauthorized distribution, collection, sale, or assignment of its coupons for any reason. For example, coupons are not to be used in swap boxes, taped to product or placed on hooks near manufacturer products, gathered and distributed by any person or group for charitable fund-raising purposes, or otherwise used in any way except as described in Requirement 1 above.

1. Coupons are redeemable only by a consumer purchasing the product(s) indicated, including but not limited to the brand, quantity and size, not later than the expiration date, with the face value of the coupon deducted from your retail price.

First, let me just say, how is any manufacturer going to know how you obtained your coupons and whether the store promoted the use of coupons in some way?  Is there some sort of secret coupon police I'm not aware of?  I'm not going to argue that it's our constitutional right to procure and use any number of coupons we can get our hands on.  But, I would certainly think that, this being America, we should have the freedom to use any number of coupons the manufacturers make available to us.  And how I come by my coupons, whether I purchase a dozen Sunday papers or collect cast offs from friends, is really no one's business.

My Inquiry to Glad

Remember the "redeem at Publix" coupon for Glad Trash Bags?  I sent an inquiry to Glad via the website (above right) trying to find out if this coupon can be used at any retailer.  Here's the email response I received........
Dear Mrs. Cotton,
Thank you for contacting us about your Glad ForceFlex Drawstring Bags. We always appreciate hearing from our consumers. I apologize for the inconvenience. You can definitely try and use the coupon at a Wal-Mart store. Wal-Mart stores do accept manufacturers coupons. You can try visiting other stores and ask if they accept coupons.

Again, thank you for contacting us.

Obviously, my inquiry wasn't quite specific enough.  I'm going to keep digging, though!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!
