Market Place: Change for a Change

Ok, the revamped Change for a Change plan goes something like this....Find items on sale or with available coupons to purchase for about $3 to add to your donations stockpile.  I'll be focusing on Market Place because they double 50-cent and under coupons and accept internet printed coupons!

If you review the weekly Coupon Matchups, you know our area is seriously lacking sale items with available coupons.  I hope to be able to do a weekly walk through (coming soon) at Market Place to compile a list of sale items that are not in the weekly sales ad.  I did a mini-walk through Wednesday afternoon just to make the Change for a Change list.  Here are a couple different ideas for you....

  • Purchase 2 packs of Ronco Spaghetti, Thin Spaghetti, or Vermicelli - 93-cents each; use two 55-cents off coupons (you received for signing up at www.ronco.com); pay $0.76
  • Purchase 2 cans of Best Choice Spaghetti Sauce - 57-cents (on sale); pay $1.14
  • Purchase 2 packets Always Save Spaghetti Mix - 2/78-cents (regular price); pay $0.78
  • Final Price = $2.68
-or-
  • Purchase 2 boxes Zesta Crackers - $1.78 each (on sale); pay $3.56 for both  **be sure to get the box with the $1 peelie sticker!**
  • Purchase 1 can Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup - 67-cents (on sale)
  • Final Price = $3.23

The coupon attached to the Zesta Crackers so the full $1 deducted!  There is an end cap stacked with these boxes of Zesta Crackers at the end of the rice/beans isle.  Just be sure to snag the boxes with the coupons!  You can only use one coupon for every two boxes you buy, but the coupons don't expire until September 30, 2011 so be sure to hang onto the one from the second box!  Crackers don't have a lengthy shelf life, so donate it soon to avoid expiration issues!

Gillette Giftset

Spotted this Gillette Giftset on an end cap near the tobacco register at Walmart on Wednesday.

I don't think the $4 off Gillette Fusion coupon from the 6/5 P&G will work on this giftset, but if you still have the coupon (I used mine already!) you might want to give it a try.  I actually think the register might accept the coupon, not so sure the cashiers will let it fly, though.  This will be one of those "your mileage may vary" situations.  But, if it works, that would be a great Father's Day gift!

In fact, you could get this gift set and the Stetson deodorant for $6.99!  Throw in a card and you've just did your father's day shopping for less than ten bucks!  (But, only if the coupons will be accepted for those products!  Keep your fingers crossed!)

Fragrances for Father's Day

Head over to Coupons.com to get these Fragrance coupons just in time for Father's Day!
Both coupons say "Redeemable ONLY at Walmart".

Tomorrow Is A Big Day For Us!

Just a heads up that there may be little or no posts tomorrow!  My husband is flying home from a 12-month, all expenses paid tour at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan.  The soldiers of the 541st Transportation Company are scheduled to arrive back at Fort Campbell bright and early tomorrow morning (4:30 am!).  So my normal "blog" time will be "drive" time tomorrow!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!

Softscrub Printable

I've read a shopping scenario to use at Walgreen this week using this printable coupon and the BOGO coupon from the 6/12 insert.  It might work, but try it at your own risk.

Salute Our Troops Update

Have you ever had one of those moments when everything suddenly makes sense?  Well, that's what happened to me yesterday when I went to Kangaroo to purchase this refillable cup.  I had misunderstood this offer as being for military only.  Total blond moment!

Actually (and obviously!) this is an offer that everyone can take advantage of!  The purchase of this cup helps support the USO.  The United Services Organization is a non-profit organization that provides morale and recreational services to military personnel.  If you've heard about your favorite musician performing for the troops, it's probably through the USO.  The USO does wonderful things for our soldiers.

A lot of people have already shown their support by purchasing a cup because Nortonville Kangaroo was sold out!  The very nice cashier let me know they may be getting another shipment on Friday afternoon.  Sorry for my initial confusion!  I hope to see everyone with one of these cups!  In fact, I may pick up one for every memeber of our household!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!
