Snuggle Fabric Softener Printable

Looks like Snuggle is on sale again for $2.99 at Kroger next week.  Here's a printable to help with that deal!

I must have printed this coupon previously because it would not let me print it again.  If there is no size restriction, you can use this coupon at Walmart to get the small box of dryer sheets for under a buck!

All Laundry Detergent Printable

All Laundry Detergent is on sale again next week for $2.99 at Kroger.  Use this link to print a $1 off coupon.

The coupon says "Save $1.00 on any ONE (1) all laundry detergent (28 loads or larger)".  I was able to print it twice.

Kroger 6/5 Ad Matchups

I am going to defer to Southern Savers for the Kroger Ad Match for the week of 6/5.  I have noticed regional differences between these Matchups and the Madisonville Kroger Ad, but for the most part, it's the same.  If you see something particularly interesting, login to http://www.kroger.com/ tomorrow and double check the local ad before you head to the store!

I see the Heinz (40oz) Ketchup is priced at $1.99.  If you have the 50-cent off coupon I posted about a few days ago, you can get that big bottle for the low, low price of 99-cents!  Aren't you glad you didn't waste that coupon on the little "to go" bottle?  I do predict even better sales on Heinz before that coupon expires!

Double Check Your Inserts Before You Buy

It seems like no matter how hard I try to check the newspapers before I leave the store, somehow I manage to get home and find that there's an insert missing.  Today, it was coupons missing from the insert!  I picked up the Saturday edition of the Kentucky New Era and got home only to realize that all of the Gillette and Old Spice coupons were missing from the insert!  When I plucked the paper out of the stack, I gingerly leafed through to locate the Proctor & Gamble insert and never considered checking the insert page by page!  It was only after comparing the coupons to the preview list that I actually realized there were 7 coupons missing.  I made a call to the store and a very helpful cashier (thanks, Barbara!) checked another copy of the paper and sure enough, these coupons were the middle pages of the insert.  She took my name so I can pick up my coupons the next time I am there.

It's easy to jump to the conclusion that someone stole those pages because those were some of the better coupons.  But, in all likelihood, it's just a coincidence.  This is the first time I have encountered this specific problem.  I've had many a Sunday paper missing one whole insert or another, but never just a section of an insert.  So, if you're not in the habit of checking your paper before you leave the store, I definitely recommend you to do just that!

The good news, the cover of the Proctor & Gamble advertises "Coupon Savings Over $102"!  There was also a big, blue Walmart folder encouraging customers to bring in competitor ads for price matching (pictured above).  Of course, "restrictions apply".

Congratulations Tim & Jessica!

I am heading off to a wedding in a couple hours, and I want to send out my heartfelt congratulations to Tim & Jessica!  This afternoon I will officially be able to refer to her as my sister-in-law!

Coincidentally, and a little giggle inducing on my part, Jess is my only official "follower".  I get a little tickled when I write up a new post, because I see that she and myself are the only followers listed on the blog.  To add to the madness, Jess doesn't live in Hopkins County!  So, thanks Jess for supporting me!

Anyhoo, congrats Tim and Jess, I'll see you soon!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!

How Many Newspapers Do You Buy?

After first watching TLC's Extreme Couponing, I would buy a lot of newspapers each Sunday.  Too many newspapers, in fact.  You couldn't have reasoned with me at the time, because I thought, "that's a good coupon, I need a thousand copies of it!"

Now that I'm starting to mellow in my couponing habits, and I have a stock of just about any health and beauty product my family will need in the near/distant future, I am able to cross check the upcoming coupons and the upcoming sales and ask myself: do I really need another tube of toothpaste or bottle of body wash?  I'm seeing more and more each week that the answer to that question is, No, we don't need anymore of that.

So, starting with tomorrow's Newspaper, I am planning to buy only one or two copies.  It's a Proctor & Gamble insert weekend, and those coupons usually result in pretty good sales, so buying only two copies is going to be tough for me.  I really won't be surprised if I have a lapse and buy four.  The "couponer's rule of thumb" is to buy a newspaper for each member of your family, so that would be four for us.  The down side for us is that our family is picky in the eats department.  My kids don't like fruit snacks and won't dare eat cereal with milk!  Food coupons are kind of a dead end in our house.  Wish me luck!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!
