Coupon Recon: Dial Bodywash

If you've been reading my posts over the last couple days, you know that my husband just arrived home from Afghanistan.  So, while I filled him in about the Dial $2 off coupon and how you could get the travel size for free and get $1.03 back at Walmart, he had an idea.  Now, I have previously stated that you should use that $2 off coupon to price match the full size bottle to the Walgreens price of $2.99 and pay a buck for the big bottle.  But, you could also do this and I would call it a Win-Win!  The thing is, you need two of the $2 coupons and a Walmart with the travel size in stock!  BTW, Madisonvillle was completely out this afternoon!

Coupon Recon: Zyrtec 5ct

Did you get the Zyrtec printable, the lone item in the Thursday email?  I did a price check at the Oak Grove Walmart last night (killing time until hubby's arrival!) and found the 5ct priced at $5.27.  I did take a glance at a couple other things that I had price checked in Madisonville, and for some reason both of the items were 50-cents cheaper at Oak Grove!  So, I would be prepared to find this same item priced a little higher in Madisonville.  But, if you can get these for less than a buck, I'd call that a good deal!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!

All You Grocery Challenge

First, a reminder that the new issue of All You will be on the check out stands soon, usually around the 20th of each month.  So, if there are any coupons you want from the current issue, be sure to get to Walmart soon to pick up a copy!

I've been a reader of All You for years, and I can never remember this Grocery Challenge.  But, apparently it's a yearly thing.  This years is June 19th (this Sunday) through July 16th.  Check it out here:  http://www.allyou.com/sweepstakes/grocery-challenge-00411000072299/  You can sign up for an email newsletter along with two other newsletters.  Basically, you base your grocery budget on $25 per person in your family per week.  So for my family of four, that's $100 a week for groceries.  It's a contest, you need to be 21 to enter, and the official rules can be found here:  http://www.allyou.com/sweepstakes/grocery-challenge-rules-00411000072322/  The bad news is, if you haven't already signed up, the deadline to signup is 11:59 tonight (Friday, 6/17) so if you're reading this in the Saturday morning email, it's too late.  Sorry!

I signed up for the newsletter, we'll see what happens next!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!

Need Your Input!

I had an mini-issue at Walmart today when I presented the $2 off KY and the $3 off KY printable coupons (remember those from a couple weeks ago?).  Obviously, I had two of the $2.62 KY products and the cashier handed the second coupon back to me and said he the coupon would only allow me to use one coupon and not both.  First, I thought he meant I didn't have two items, then I realized the register had beeped and he had read the "Limit one coupon per purchase" notation on the bottom of the coupon.  I asked him to hand me back the coupon, I read the fine print just to sure, and explained that "per purchase" is "per item".  He rescanned it and it went through without a hitch, go figure.

The actual error message from the register was:  The coupon you are attempting to use does not match the items that were sold.  I think it was probably referring to one of the two trial size items I had purchased and used a coupon for and not the KY.

So, here's where I need your input.  I want to put together a "Quick Facts to Couponing".  Maybe something like a top ten list a la Letterman, but devoted to coupon usage instead of funny topics.  I want it to be something we can all hand over when we have these little situations.  Can't wait to hear your suggestions!

Kraft Food & Family Magazine

Got an email subscription email for something called Kraft Food & Family Magazine.  I'm not familiar with it, but there is an online version here:  http://www.zinio.com/reader.jsp?issue=416167476&o=ext&RF=FoodFamilySUM2011  My first question is, does the magazine have coupons in it?  So many magazines these days do have coupons!  And I wonder if you can purchase this in stores, and at what cost?

Reynolds Grilling Solution Center Plus Printables!

I can't recall receiving an email for any printable coupons from Reynolds Wrap, but I thought those burger recipes might be worth checking out.  The Hawaiian Burger looks kind of interesting to me!

While you're there, sign up for the e-newsletter.  And then click on the "Promotions" tab to access four printable coupons!  Parchment Paper, 18" Wide Foil, Non-stick Foil, and Slow Cooker Liners.

If you love slow cooker / crock pot cooking as much as I do, these liners will be your new best friend!  You can never have too many of these in your stockpile!

Lots of support for the troops lately!  I had tried to order this for my husband while he was deployed in Afghanistan, but I didn't have his Unit ID, so I am super glad to have gotten this in an email from MoJo Savings!

Will we see the Benadryl Coupon This Sunday?

I didn't notice it in the Sunday Coupon Preview list, but sure enough there is a $2 off Benadryl coupon included in this Sunday's insert list.  I certainly hope this is a better weekend locally for the good coupons!
