Dollar General: Save $5 on Saturday (2/11)

Hooray, we have an upcoming $5 off your $25 purchase at Dollar General!  Stop in this week and grab an inexpensive item, you'll most likely get the coupon on the bottom of your receipt.  Or, head over to the coupon page on the Dollar General website and print one!  What ever you do, don't forget to get your coupon before Saturday!  Plus, there's a new sale ad for this week!

Why do I love this promotion?  It's a win-win.  It's great if you don't have manufacturer's coupons because Dollar General is going to save you $5 off your $25 purchase - great for buying things you don't see coupons for, things like Jif and Mini Hershey Bars!  But, to make the deal even better, Dollar General allows you to use Manufacturer's coupons AND the $5 Dollar General coupon!  Just remember: 1.) Pre-tax total must be $25  2.) Have cashier scan the Dollar General $5 coupon FIRST!  3.) Hand over your manufacturer's coupons and watch your total decrease!

Kroger: Get a Quarter Back

Wow, I totally overlooked this promotion in the Kroger ad yesterday!  A big THANKYOU to I Heart Kroger for posting a list of Get a Quarter Back participating items!  If my math is functioning this morning, you'll get a $1 catalina coupon for every 4 participating items you purchase.  Then, you can use the catalina coupon just like cash in another transaction!  Catalinas are called coupons, but in this case, it works more like a store gift card made of paper rather than a regular coupon.  I'm going to have to take another peek at the Get a Quarter Back list and add a few (or four) things to my shopping list!
