Market Place Introduces New Saver Certificates

At first glance, I really didn't think this new Saver Certificate would be worth messing with.  You'll earn one stamp/sticker for every $5 you spend.  To fill one card you'll have to buy $50 in groceries.  To begin earning free bakeware, you'll have to spend at least $150, and fill up three cards.  But!  If you're a regular Market Place shopper, like me, it's worth saving the stamps because you can earn FREE bakeware.  Imagine the free bakeware you can earn between now and Christmas?  My family alone can earn a free pan a week.  You could also "gift" your stamps to a friend.  Or donate the free items you receive to charity.  Bottom line, don't pass up the stamps when your cashier asks "Do you save stamps?"  The answer is always, "YES!!!"

As you shop, keep in mind that you'll earn a stamp for every $5 you spend.  My total yesterday was $29.08 and I received 5 stamps instead of 6 because I didn't go over the $30 mark.  If I had been paying attention, I would have tossed in a pack of gum to get that additional stamp!  One great, cheap item to grab is the $1 box of dial soap, or any of the items in the $1 section!  I'd like to see the cashiers prompt us to get that total over when we're less than a dollar away from earning an additional stamp.  I'd appreciate their effort, wouldn't you?

Thanks again, and happy couponing!
