My Coupon Hunter

If you've never used a coupon clipping service, getting started can be over whelming.  A clipping service is a great option for obtaining those coupons that didn't make into your local inserts.
Coupons themselves have no monetary value and can not be bought, sold, or auctioned.  But, clipping services charge for the service of clipping, sorting, and mailing the coupons, not for the coupons themselves!  The tricky part is getting the coupons at a reasonable clipping fee.  Most services charge a percent of the face value of the coupon and the quantities differ from service to service.  I don't like the idea of paying a percentage, since the clipping of one coupon is exactly the same as the clipping of any other coupon.

May I introduce you to My Coupon Hunter.  http://www.mycouponhunter.com/aboutus.asp  Her name is Virgina, maybe I should have said....meet Virginia, I can't wait to.....  Sorry, she probably gets that a lot and will want to strangle me if she reads this!  But, seriously, her clipping service is the most reasonable and reliable that I have had the pleasure of using.

To get started, you purchase a package, and then pick the coupons you want.  She limits quantities to help spread the coupons around, and posts updates on Facebook and email to let you know when the new coupons are available.  There is definitely a thrill when you order those "hot" coupons!  The larger subscription you purchase, the lower your cost per coupon.  But, if you're just getting your feet wet, subscriptions start at $5 for 25 coupons.  The best part?  There's no shipping fees!  And you don't have to order 25 coupons all at once.  You can spread your ordering out over 90 days if it suits you!

I recommend using a clipping service if you've been couponing for a while and have a decent stockpile or if you have a family of picky eaters like mine.  It can be cheaper to order coupons for specific products rather than buying the Sunday paper.  And since My Coupon Hunter allows you to order a minimum of "one' you could get all of the coupons you want to use for as low as $5 over a 90-day period.  If you bought a Sunday paper each week, for three months, at $2 each, you'd be spending upwards of $24 only to have one copy of each coupon and to toss out a majority of coupons for things you don't use.  Not to mention the gas and time you'd be saving!  A special thanks to Virginia at My Coupon Hunter for providing such an awesome service to those of us in Hopkins County, KY!

Thanks again, and happy couponing!
