Help Me Out With My Math

Ok, so I went Mega shopping at Kroger yesterday.  When I reviewed my receipt at home I realized that one of my 11 Mac & Cheese cups did not ring up.  That one item knocked me out of getting the additional $5 discount when you buy 10 Mega Event items.  And sure enough, there were 9 items on my receipt which did not have the additional savings.  So, I took the 9 items and the Mac & Cheese cup back to Kroger today to get my discount.  I still needed to pay for the Mac & Cheese which would have been 49-cents yesterday after the ME discount and I was due the $5 credit which I should have gotten if all of my items had rang up yesterday.  How much credit should I have been given at the customer service desk?

When I saw the high value of $5 on this coupon I got curious about the price.  It runs from $5.99 to $8.99 on Walgreens.com so I'm going to guess it's a little cheaper instore at Walmart.  Looks like you can get some cheap Bengay! Print it before it disappears!

Old El Paso taco shells are 99-cents at Walgreens this week.  But, uh, you're going to want to Price Match that at Walmart b/c the S. Main Walgreens is out of taco shells (hey, there were only 3 left when I got there, so yes I cleared the shelf!). 

I price checked the 12 ct at Walmart and they are regularly priced $1.50.  Just price matching saves you 51-cents!

Kroger: Crest Catalina Deal

I was up and out of the house in time to be shopping at Kroger just after 6:30 this morning.  I know, I'm shocked, too.  I got a handful of Catalina coupons with my receipt when I checked out.  Here is one for a Crest Catalina deal beginning today (7/17).  Buy $6 of Crest Toothpaste between 7/17-7/31 and Save $2 on a future trip!  I looked back through the insert lists, and there were a couple Crest coupons in the past two P&G inserts that don't expire until 7/31. 

I've taken advantage of two recent Catalina deals and they both expired on a Sunday and that Sunday began the sale week with the best sale price for the product (Wisk and Viva Paper Towels).  So, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the week of 7/31 (also a Sunday) is going to be a really good week to buy Crest toothpaste at Kroger.  This is mere speculation on my part, so by all means if you find it on sale before then, please use your coupons and take advantage of this Catalina deal!
