Coupon For Change (3/21-3/27)

Coupon for Change is a new weekly post to go along with the Coupon Matchups. It's simply a list of $1 and under items that would make great donation items.

Spend $1 each week as you shop and add the item(s) to your donation box. When your box is full, drop it off at your favorite food bank! You'll barely notice spending that extra dollar at the checkout.

But, you will notice what a wonderful thing you're doing when your dontation box begins to overflow! Just remember, check the expiration dates as you shop. You'll want to get items that won't expire for a while, I look for an expiration date around May 2013.

Coupon For Change at Food Giant & Sureway

Save 50-cents on ONE Suave Product
At first glace I passed on this Coupons.com printable for Suave.  Then, I noticed that it can be used on several Suave products, including deodorant! 

Take this coupon to the grocery store and watch it double!  Just be prepared if you're shopping at Market Place, the register won't scan the new, longer bar code and they may refuse the coupon.  No worries, it'll scan at Kroger!  And I read on I Heart Kroger that there are several Suave products on sale this week!

Or, if you're willing to pay a little more, use it at CVS where deodorant is priced $1 this week (plus they have an ECB deal that you may want to checkout).  And, since the CVS price is advertised, you can price match it at Walmart! 

Deodorant makes a great donation item, too!  I already have several in my donation box!  I always look for ways to Coupon for Change and the Suave deodorant coupons never disappoint me.  Don't worry, the picutre above says "print limit reached" because I already printed it from my computer, but there should be copies available for you to print!  Just click here, to print your copy!

Dollar General: Save $5 on Saturday (5/24)

There's a couple good things going on at Dollar General this week!  First, Saturday (3/24) will be another day to save $5 off your $25 purchase!  Head over to their coupon page and print the coupon right from your computer! 

If you're in the market for bathroom cleaner, be sure to print the Dollar General Store Coupon for $1 off Scrubbing Bubbles.  These are on sale for $2.50 this week and there is a $2/2 manufacturer's coupon from the 3/11 Smart Source.  I was able to pick up two cans for $2; the register would only accept one of the Dollar General store coupons.  If you happen to have a $1/1 manufacturer's coupon (I couldn't find one), you can get a can of cleaner for as low as 50-cents!  You can use the DG coupon on ANY scrubbing bubbles item, too.

Kmart: Double Coupons ALL Week

If you haven't heard, it's another week of Kmart Doubles!  Same rules apply so be ready to shop for $25 in merchandise from Grocery, Beauty, and Health.  I was all set to pick up super cheap All detergent yesterday only to find an empty shelf!  Good job couponers, good job!  No worries, ask and you shall receive, a rain check, that is.  If you arrive at the store only to find an empty shelf, be sure to head over to customer service for that rain check.  And, remember, the double coupon rule limits you to four like products.  You can visit Cuckoo for Coupon Deals for a great coupon matchup to help you prepare your shopping list!

Culinary Crafts: Finger Lickin' Good

I just knew this week's Culinary Crafts article was going to be a good one as soon as I read the title Finger Lickin' Good!  You may or may not know this about me, but I am not a bird person.  I think birds are beautiful and I have several ceramic birds sitting around the house.  I have recently developed a thing for owls.  I blame my mother who had an owl print from Home Interiors when I was a kid.  I even have faux eggs in jars in my kitchen.  So, I guess I am a bird person; just not real birds!  Any hoo, I really enjoyed Leigh's recount of her adventures with raising chickens.  Hearing her say it was like an Easter egg hunt everyday just about had me planning where I could put a coop!  Don't tell my husband, he'll be dragging me off to the flea market!  The more I read of Leigh's story, the more reminded I was of a series of books by Doreen Cronin featuring the antics in Farmer Brown's barnyard.  Leigh, if you're reading this (and I know you will!) I think your story would make one hilarious children's book!  And to top it all off, Leigh has another round of yummy recipes for us this week.  I gotta ask, is that Orange Chicken the same as the stuff you get at the Chinese restaurants in malls?  I've never tried it, but I've got a family memeber who gets it and think I might try out Leigh's recipe for our next get together!  I'm pinning it, are you?  Have a great weekend everybody!
