Dollar General Matchups

Here's a list of Coupon Matchups to help you prepare for your Saturday shopping at Dollar General!  Don't forget to print the "Save $5 off a $25" purchase before you head to the store!  Or stop in this week, buy a pack of gum, and hope you get the coupon on the bottom of your receipt!

If my math is working properly this morning, you'll save an extra 20-cents on every dollar when you use this coupon and spend $25!  The coupon matchups do not include the $5 savings!
I hadn't given much thought to buying my Jif at Dollar General {because there are never coupons for Jif}, but I'll save at least 40-cents if I buy it as part of my $25 trip on Saturday!  I think this Saturday's trip may have to be all about the ingredients for my holiday recipes!

Correction to Fred's post Earlier this Week

I made a whoopsie!  Earlier this week I told you that you can use the 75-cent All coupon at Fred's on Saturdays and have it double.  Well, I got ahead of myself by five-cents.  Fred's will only double coupons with a face value of 70-cents or less on Saturdays.  Sorry about that!  A big THANKYOU to Leigh for bringing that whoopsie to my attention so I could get the correct info out there!

So, if you have that 75-cent All coupon, be sure to use it at Dollar General on Saturday when they have another $5 off a $25 purchase day!

Culinary Crafts: Naughty or Nice?

Uh-oh, Leigh's counting down the days 'til Christmas and asking us if we've been Naughty or Nice!  Yikes!

And those recipes made me giggle and smile this morning!  I gotta say "Reindeer Poop" is one of my all time favorite recipes!  And I am dying to know which animal crackers she used on those cupcakes!  And now I'm brainstorming other candies I could put in that fudge recipe!  I think I better ask Santa for bigger jeans this year!

Check it out at Culinary Crafts by Leigh or on the iSurf site!  I'm leaving a comment so be sure to click over and read it!  And leave a comment while you're there!  We bloggers love comments!

Thanks, Leigh, you've done it again this week!  Hey, do you have a recipe for  Old Fashioned Fudge?  The kind of fudge where you use Cocoa instead of chocolate chips?  My grandmomma used to make it and it was my all time favorite!

Letters to Santa

Good Tuesday morning!  Just got the call that Hopkins County is on a one-hour delay this morning and I am basking in that extra hour of computer time!  It gives me the perfect opportunity to share a few neat Santa things with you!

First, Letters to Santa.  We've been doing this for a couple years and I can't tell you how great I think it is!  You send your child's letter to Santa and he writes a reply!  And it's free, although they do appreciate donations!  It's through the Santa Claus Museum and here's the address:
          Santa Claus
          PO Box 1
          Santa Claus, IN 47579
Letters need to be mailed before December 21st to ensure you receive your reply before Christmas.  You can also find printable letters on the website:  http://www.santaclausmuseum.org/letters-to-santa/

Second, this neat way to put Santa in your living room!  I saw this on a blog called Design Dazzle and thought it was a great idea!  The website is Capture the Magic and it's as simple as uploading a picture from your home (of your tree or fireplace or where ever you like!), choosing the right Santa, and printing!  As soon as my tree is presentable (aka: decorated) I can't wait to try this out!

Third, a free Letter to Santa printable for your {whoopsie!  a spy a typo!} child to fill in created by a very cute blog called Wonder Forrest!  This may be the way to go for us since my Kindergartener can actually write this year, so exciting!  I was planning to make one myself {you know I love Photoshop} but this one is ready to use and it's free!

Put some RED WHITE & BLUE into your Holiday

Can you tell how enthusiastic I am about McCay Chiropractic's donation drive?  I'm affectionately calling it
"Operation: Donation Drop" and it benefits Fisher House at Fort Campbell which is pictured there on the left.
This is just such a wonderful cause and it touches many a military family.  If you or a loved one has ever recovered from a long illness you know how important it is to have your family nearby.  Fisher House makes this possible for military families and this is happening a mere 45-minutes from Hopkins County.  It's a great place and your donations will be greatly appreciated.

Bring your donations to McCay Chiropractic conveniently located at 920 S Main St in Madisonville.  They will be accepting donations through December 20th.
Office Hours: Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 8:00-6:00 (closed for lunch 12:30-2:00) and Saturday 8:00-11:00.  They're open late so you can drop your items off on your way home from work!  Be sure to head over to the McCay Facebook page and let them know what a wonderful thing they are doing for military families!  And don't forget to put "Operation: Donation Drop" on your shopping list as you head out today!  Couponer's CAN make a difference, one donation at a time!

Give to Fisher House, Help a Wounded Soldier

I am super happy to share this info with you today!  Please take a little time out of your holiday festivities and think about the wounded and recovering soldiers who live no more than a 45-minute drive from Hopkins County.  Drop your donations at McCay Chiropractic (920 S Main, across from the Carhartt store) anytime Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday from 8-12:30 and 2-6 and also on Saturdays from 8-11.  A big THANKYOU to the wonderful staff at McCay for initiating this drop spot for donations!

I see lots of things on the "needs" list that you can easily find coupons for!  But, don't limit your donations to just the things on the list.  Any health and beauty and household items will make great donations.  Board games, magazines, books...all those things that help pass the time.

Thanks again, McCay, for doing something wonderful for our military community!

If you'd like to learn more about Fisher House, please visit the website:  http://www.fortcampbellfisherhouse.org/, it will inspire you.
FYI: Great Escape is the theatre in Clarksville and you can purchase Gift Cards on the website in $10, $25, and $50 increments.  If you're shopping in Clarksville, it is located on Tiny Town Road, just off I-24.

12/10 is a GREAT day to save at Dollar General

Get your coupons ready for next Saturday because you can save $5 off a $25 purchase at Dollar General and stretch your savings even further by using your manufacturer's coupons, too!  Plus, you've got all week to get your list and coupons prepared for your shopping trip!  A new sales ad begins today and I see on the front page Brawny for $6.50 {that's going on my list, for sure!}.  In fact, I spy lots of great items.  I'll try to find a great coupon matchup and pass it your way!
