Southern Savers: Breaking Brand Loyalty

Southern Savers has a great post and video about Breaking Brand Loyalty to save more money.  I was a brand loyal shopper and bought the same brand week after week without a second thought before I began seriously couponing.  After couponing for nine months I have found that it's better to pay a little more for the brand I prefer than to save a little more on the less expensive brand.  After all, you want your stockpile to be filled with items that you will use.  And I've been happy to see coupons for the brands I prefer just as often as any other brands.  If you're curious about what coupons have been out this year, visit the Archives section on Sunday Coupon Preview. 

Southern Savers: Walmart v. Grocery Stores

Southern Savers had a great post yesterday asking the question: Where is the best place to shop, the grocery or Walmart?  I don't have a great comparison with dollars and sense, but if you have coupons that will double, most of the time you're better off shopping at the grocery store.  And a great sale with a great coupon at the grocery store is unbeatable by Walmart.
